Why should I participate in this fair?

Get your feet wet in the field of science and make a difference by tackling environmental issues relevant to the current world's problems.

How much money should I be spending on my idea?

Judging is not based on the extravagance of your invention. Most items you will need will probably be found in your very home, and any money spent should go on the basic necessities of you project.

Who should enter this fair?

Anyone who is enthusiastic about science or their environment will not let an opportunity like this out of their hands. Contestants are elementary school children and to be legible must be in either the 4th, 5th, or 6th grade.

Does my project have to work?

No. It is important that your innovation is a plausible solution to the problem you are tackling, but judges understand that you might not have the tools to produce a functioning model of your invention.

Where can I find research for my project?

You can find research for your project anywhere on the internet or at your local library. Make sure you have parent permission before surfing the web.

How much help can I get?

Teachers and parents should only function as mentors and are there to provide recourses and helpful tips only. Adults are not to do any of the project for the contestants.
